Ashtanga |
|
The Ashtanga method of yoga
involves synchronizing the movements of the body with the breath.
The Ashtanga yoga series is a specific set of postures, practiced in
a specific order. Students practice Vinyasa (Chaturanga,
Upward Facing Dog, Downward Facing Dog) between each posture.
When breath and body are linked in this succession of movements,
internal heat is built in the body. |
|
Long Slow
Deep |
|
The Long, Slow & Deep routine will help you
move into areas of your body deeply and safely with a combination of
deep stretching poses. Postures are held anywhere from one to
four minutes. After a short warm up, students will
be led through a sequence of stretches which are designed to get
deep into the hips and hamstrings. The intensity of this class
is measured in time spent in the postures, so get ready for a
challenge! Not offered weekly, stay tuned to our website
